Detroit Can Dance

This weekend downtown Detroit got taken over. By the club. The Movement Festival moved into Hart Plaza, and won’t be leaving until tonight. With a lineup that includes over 100 artists – among them Action Bronson, Carl Cox, Bonobo, and Flosstradamus – if you like electronic music, this is the festival to put on your map for future years to come. Spiderman’s a Drag (Queen)

In an unlikely turn of events, Andrew Garfield, on the heels of the release of The Amazing Spiderman 2, takes on a very different character: drag queen. If you’re going to do something unexpected, do it for the arts. If you’re going to do it and have it be pretty widely accepted & appreciated, do it for Arcade Fire. The result is a a little disturbing, a little impressive, a little Napoleon Dynamite talent show scene. You’ll see what we mean right here:
