Alternative Press King 810 Exclusive

Yesterday Alternative Press featured the King810 release “Fat Around the Heart” on a 24-hour exclusive. Check out the feature here.

In their new album Memoirs Of A Murderer, KING 810 confront the environment that created them: notoriously economically depressed and crime-ridden Flint, Michigan. Fittingly, that is where their ominous new video for “Fat Around The Heart,” which was directed by the Detroit-based John “Quig” Quigley of Chrome Bumper Films, takes place.

Official Teaser for King810 Release

Chrome Bumper Films’ latest production has an official teaser. Leading up to the July 1st release of King810‘s music video, ‘Fat Around the Heart’, the song is off the band’s debut full-length ‘Memoirs of a Murderer’, out August 19th on Roadrunner Records. Shot on location in Flint, Michigan, here’s a sneak peak at what’s to come from King810. Follow the movement here.

Yo. Yo? Yo.

Ever have one of those days where you just want to send your bestfriend/colleague/significant other a ‘yo’, but – alas – there’s no app for that? Now there is.

The ‘Yo’ app allows you to send the words “yo” to anyone with a cell phone. Sound simple? It is. Sound stupid? Tell that to the 50k users already hooked, and try not to scoff at the $1 million the developer has already raised. The app can be downloaded here. (Is that Yahoo!’s purple?)

Easy Listening / Blackbird Blackbird

New on the indie music scene, Blackbird Blackbird is going to become that band you just can’t stop humming. And when you find out it’s just one guy behind the sound, you might be a little impressed.

Blackbird Blackbird is San Francisco based producer Mikey Maramag. On June 3rd, he released his album ‘Tangerine Sky‘ and this summer he tours stateside. Word on his Facebook is he may need a place to stay.. help a musician out?
