The Music We Love Most is the Love Music

Pittsburgh-based digital artist Nickolay Lamm’s latest project found him visually measuring the popularity of keywords from the Billboard Year-End Hot 100 since 1950, and graphing out the results in digital, color-DNA-chart style. What he found was that love prevails…until recently. While we’ve had to welcome in ‘foul’ words like ‘ass’ in the past couple of decades, it seems as though we humans still prefer an old fashioned love song. Read more right here. Ask And You Shall Receive

Well – if you’re Ellen DeGeneres at least. Ellen, currently hosting the 86th Academy Awards, used her (plug) Samsung Galaxy and took the selfie that broke Twitter. That’s right. Ellen collected a small group of friends during the live show (friends including Meryl Streep, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Kevin Spacey, Julia Roberts..) and requested that this snapshot take the cake for “most retweeted tweet”, a record she hoped to break. Well it seems as though a number of people not only heard her, but did exactly as she asked. And with over 1.7m retweets in under an hour, she broke Twitter. #oops.

Eminem, Rihanna Announce Tour

With the success of this collaboration, maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised to hear of an Eminem x Rihanna Tour, but we kind of are. Announced in the latest XXL Magazine, Eminem told the publication that summer dates will be on the calendar. But if you’re hoping to catch the two mega stars hit the stage together, you better live in one of three lucky cities. New York, Los Angeles and of course Eminem‘s hometown, Detroit.
