Detroit Named “Bar City of the Year”
While Detroit already has a few titles… ‘Detroit Rock City’ and ‘Motor City’ among them, the midwestern hub now has a new one: ‘Bar City of the Year’. In an article to be printed in Esquire‘s June/July issue, the esteemed mag deems Detroit the new it-spot for drinking.
Esquire partnered with cocktail historian David Wondrich to determine what city should take the cake, or should we say cocktail, as being the town for happy hour and more. Among the local bars cited as ‘must visits’ – PJ’s Lager House, Cliff Bell’s (pictured), Old Miami and more.
