Historic Detroit Recording Studio Getting New Life

Historic Detroit recording studio, United Sound Systems, is back. It’s been a slow process, but the institution founded in the early 1930s has survived vacancy, transfer of ownership and even the risk of being demolished due to the expansion of a nearby expressway. Now open 7 days a week for studio time and tours, United Sound Systems still isn’t out of the woods – but will hopefully be receiving help from the Detroit Sound Conservancy in the near future.
