Vine Goes International

If you’re not familiar with Vine in the States, you are missing out on exactly 8 seconds of fun that gets repeated over and over and over.. The popular app allows you to capture 8 seconds of video and then creates an animated gif of your work in a never-ending loop. As of this week, Vine goes international. The app has expanded into 19 languages including French, Chinese and German. Opening up the artistic outlet should provide some impressive results. Here are some Vines we dig.

An Artistic Game Changer

Cool things come out of Kickstater. Case in point: the Pixelstick. Already fully funded, having raised upward of $450k (with a $110k goal), the device is being plugged by Pixelstick inventors as “light painting evolved”. With the visualizations created based off of Photoshop files, the possibilities are endless, and we’re definitely thinking game-changer in the world of advertising, graffiti and street art.

Moscow Subway Ticket Machine Accepts Squats as Payment

A ticket machine in Moscow accepts more than cash. And it’s not credit cards. Or gift certificates. It’s exercise. We feel Moscow might be on to something. (How about a vending machine that requires a comparable amount of exercise in relation to how unhealthy the treat is you’re going for?) Granted this brilliant machine may just be some discrete interactive advertising (the Olympics are coming up after all), but either way, we’re ready to play.
